A Course registration by a ‘Human’!

Ankit wisely wrote in his blog aptly titled ankitwise and provided all IIIT’ians with a new and effective way of surpassing the others in contention for courses, that are in high demand. Well that was a good “programmers” approach to solving the issue of FCFS (For all the non-geeky readers it’s First come first serve, though I highly doubt if there is any such person out here ).  What followed was a post by our very own geeking (geek-king, I hope it doesn’t offend you ) gagan, and whoa! that was one good guide to set-up firebugs, grease-monkey, common-sense and what not! Dude! Seriously one can’t be more lucid and clear. Hats off to you!

So, If you were able to follow what I was trying to say till now, you would ask what else can I add to already elucidated technical posts. Well, I dont know if I can, but I think if some of the above mention tricks fail, or you are somehow still unsure of using them, or if whole IIIT starts using the above tricks, follow my method (no copyright and I am sure a number of persons already use it) that is well a bit human!

Step 1) Go to Appaji’s office.

Step 2) Do A Paper and pen add/drop of courses.

Step 3) Submit the form.

Step 4) Come back and sleep.

Step 5) Sorry I forgot to add Step 0 above; Step 0) Wake up

Easy!! You bet it is. Dependable! If appaji himself will manually feed in your forms, I am sure you won’t be lagging in the timestamp. In fact, the paper-pen add-drop students are the first ones to get the courses

There is only one problem though, Why will appaji accept a paper and pen submission from you? Usually, this facility is for the people with a ‘F’ grade and late registrations. While I will not ask you to try for the former criteria, excuses like faking a late registration, portal bug, password not working, swine-flu leave etc will suffice to fool the dilligent, technically unsound, gold-hearted appa of whole IIIT. And if you cant even produce a proper excuse, shame on you and your schooling . It’s time to go back and learn some “creativity”.
